Supporting SMEs and Entrepreneurs

The Inland Norway Energy Agency will contribute to the development of a regional market and business development within renewable energy systems and energy efficiency services. The main focus will be on SMEs and entrepreneurs.

Within the business development sector the Agency will target SMEs and entrepreneurs, their business partners and investors. This will be done in close cooperation with the regional innovation and incubator centers.

Goals

The goals within the business development sector are to:

• Stimulate to a significant growth in business development of services and products related to RES and REU
• Contribute to a significant increase of the investment at regional and local level in RES and RUE programs and SMEs providing such services and products

Means

The goals will be achieved through:

• Training sessions and seminars for start-ups and SMEs within RES and RUE issues, state of the art-technology, and national and international financing schemes
• Arranging events to connect start-ups within RES and RUE with investors and suitable project partners
• Promoting the establishment of energy related business ideas
• Collaboration with the finance sector, venture companies and regional business incubators
• Offering advisory services to the target groups on RES and RUE issues, national and international financing schemes, incubator facilities, and best practice
• Written information materials and brochures
• Extensive, practical and useful information on the Agency's web page
